Building in New York comes with some of the toughest challenges in the world — complex regulations, strict permits and navigating local contractors.
On iconic 5th Avenue, opposite the New York Public Library, we turned these challenges into an opportunity for storytelling. Inspired by its neighbor, the store became a Denim Library with a monumental steel structure suspended from the ceiling, showcasing the brand’s denim categories in a striking way.

From lease signing to store opening in just four weeks — this project demanded speed and precision. Working closely with strong construction partners, we designed, engineered and built the store almost in parallel.
The result is a striking open façade set on an angle, with a flexible visual merchandising setup. The entire façade was clad in Kvadrat Really panels, made from recycled denim, underscoring the brand’s sustainable mindset. At the back of the store, we created an intimate fitting area — a modular ‘box within a box’ that contrasts with the open front space.
